Brassfield Estate Zinfandel from our Volcano Ridge vineyard. The alambic brandy used in the fortification was made from the same vineyard by world-renown artisan distillers of Germain Robin. The very fine double-distilled Eau-de-Vie was barrel agede for an additional year prior to fortifying the fermenting Zinfandel wine to arrest the fermentation with a residual sugar of 11% and a resulting alcohol of 20%.

The 2010 Serenity boasts distinctive aromas of mangoes, pineapples and key lime pie with flavors of Barlett pears, citrus, and honeydew melon that linger in your mouth.
Ripe plums and hints of sassafrass, mint and eucalyptus greet the nose upon first inspection. There are lovely layers of cedar and cigar box surrounded by a roundness and soft tannic structure that lead to a lingering finish.
Ripe plums and black cherry fruits are complimented by touches of white pepper, fresh cedar and a hint of bay laurel. There is a warm sensation of these rich flavors in a medium bodied wine with lingering structural, age-worthy tannins.
